    So….

I was playing with a prostate today (after a surgeon removed it).

Examination of the seminal vesicles revealed two bits of information.

    a) The patient hasn’t gotten any Straaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaange in a while.

    b) The patient hasn’t helped himself (iffen ya know what I mean) during his Straaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaange-free interval.

    Quite the gravel load.

Dinner party for Saturday evening is shaping up.  If ya happen to be in the neighborhood just stop on by.  I’ll have extras for the grill!

  • who DOESN’T ‘help themselves’?? poor guy.

  • Ha. I’m confused as to what kind of patients you deal with. Dead or alive?

  • What does ‘strange’ mean?

  • ewwwww…. i’m gonna lose my bolus! Was this an old guy! Crikey! hacky sacks and sandbags!

  • You’ve gone from playing with some dead guys prostate to announcing a dinner party..

    Only you Doc…. too funny.

  • @bleuzeus - Oh, the patient isn’t dead.  They just resected his prostate.  And no…I’m not grilling it up for dinner.

  • Wait, is there a connection here? If we get ‘some’ or at least get off regularly, does it help keeping Mr. Prostate happy and healthy?

  • @MrCookiepants - Yes, indeed, although recent studies have suggested some slight increase in the early incidence of prostate cancer in those that started masturbating early and masturbate frequently.  Which means that I’m toast.  Interestingly enough, men over age 50 that have more frequent ejaculations seem to have some protective effect in the onset of prostate cancer.

Autopsy studies indicate that essentially 95-100% of men over age 80 have prostate cancer.  It is typically an indolent tumor and they almost uniformly die of some other disease.

  • I’m curious….just how exactly do you tell he hasn’t had any in a long time?

  • @silentbill1814 - The secretions of the seminal vesicles are normally rather milky. If they stay in the seminal vesicles for a long time the secretions become very gelatinous and chunky.  Hence my title.  His secretions were little rubbery bits.
