Twilight
Sorry these pics are rather dark, but it was…well…dark outside. I happened to glance in the back yard while having my pre-bed chat with Special Someone and all I could think was “Damn…those hostas are pretty friggin’ huge this year.”
The view from the top level of the deck.
I’ve never seen this hosta get so big. It must be the combination of lots of rain and cooler temperatures.
The deck in all of it’s newly power-washed glory. Hopefully I’ll get the fountain uncovered this weekend.
Ground level. We planted mint in the blue pot…and it’s going gangbusters.

Really lovely! Those are some big hostas! You must be proud.
Loving the landscaping and curb appeal in the backyard.
@Emancip8 - The curb’s at the front of the house. I’ve finally got what can be considered a “mature” garden. Most of the plantings have been in ground for 9 years.

Haha I KNEW you or someone else was gonna pull the “curb is in the front” line. I didn’t know how else to say it.
Are those typical plants up north?
That’s a big-ass hosta.
I thought this was a posting about the book! LOL!
It has been a great spring for growing,, I rather enjoy the climate right now.
I hope the summer stays the same course.
Have a smashing weekend!

@Emancip8 - All of the plants (except the mint) in that garden are perennials that are hardy for our zone (zone 4). There are hostas, astilbe, russian sage, meadow sage, phlox, coral bells, geranium hollyhocks, a ground hugging succulent, mums and a dianthus variant. Oh, and thistle, but that’s a weed and will soon be expelled from my little Eden.
Good thing you planted the mint in a pot…that stuff will eat your life!
Jason would be jealous. He will not see these pics as I will hear no peace till our yard looks like that.
It’s great to have mint handy. You can pretend you’re Moroccan.
Good Doc,
Time for a new post!
Also, we are cruising again in December with Billsy and Jason from silentbill on here. December 5th on the Fantasy out of Mobile, Alabama. Still some rooms left for you and Special Someone!
Toodles!
